Allen L. Myers, 66, of Spring Grove, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, November 14, 2022, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born September 24, 1956, in York, PA, he was the loving son of Gloria A. (Bortner) Myers of New Oxford, PA, and the late John B. Myers. Allen was the loving husband of Peggy L. (Zinneman) Myers with whom he shared forty-three years of marriage.
Allen was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA, and was a past consistory member.
Allen was a 1974 graduate of Spring Grove High School and received an associate degree in surveying from Penn State Mont Alto in 1976. He was a Project Manager and Estimator for Stewart and Tate Construction for thirty-three years until his retirement in 2016.
Allen was a member of the Penn State Alumni Association, Trout Unlimited, and the Spring Grove Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, bicycling, and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to his mother, Gloria, and loving wife, Peggy, Allen is survived by his son, Jesse T. Myers and fiancé Lindsey Kelly of Madeira Beach, FL, a sister, Susan Sanders and husband Scott; a sister-in-law, Sally Hampton and husband, Michael; a brother-in-law, Alan Zinneman and wife Joyce; and his mother and father-in-law, Dolores and Jim Zinneman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 116 York Street, Hanover, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. Dr. Kim Blocher officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
“If you are so inclined, take a moment to reminisce and give thanks for some good times shared together. I’ve done a lot of that over the last several years and I can tell you, life has been good”.
