Alvin Robert Johnson, Jr., age 69, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home with loving family by his side.
Born February 10, 1951 in New York City, he was the son of the late Alvin R. Johnson Sr. and Jean C. (Skinner) Johnson.
He was preceded in death by three siblings, Diane Johnson, Rosalind Johnson and Sharon Mack.’
At an early age, he attended church at Williams Institutional in Harlem, New York.
Alvin, better known to many as A.J worked in maintenance as well as the postal service. AJ also volunteered at homeless shelters.
He enjoyed watching western and scary movies during his alone time.
A.J loved sports; he liked shooting pool and particularly watching and playing his favorite game basketball.
He left a great impression and was highly respected by his family members, friends and peers. He was also known to be a help and look out to the needs of others. A.J also had a great sense of humor too.
Alvin is survived by six siblings, Calvin Michael, and Raymond Johnson-(Wanda); Daphne Pugh(Mike) Katrina Johnson, Valerie Armwood; uncle Bernard Skinner(Joann), Aunt, Mercedes Skinner and Iona Fisher And a host of 1st and 2nd generation nieces and nephews, and friends.
Due to the COVID 19 virus, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
