Andrea L. Goodson

Andrea L. (Niehoff) Goodson, 59, of Glenville, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, April 3, 2023.

Born December 16, 1963, in Sunbury, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Kathleen M. (Eppley) Niehoff.  Andrea was the loving wife of Bryan D. Goodson with whom she shared over thirty-five years of marriage.

Andrea was a 1981 graduate of Hanover High School.  She was an active member of her high school class reunion committee.  Andrea worked for the Hair Gallery, John Ross Jewelers, the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center, Country Manor Florist, and for K-Mart, Kay Jewelers, and the Kitchen Works, but her passion was her volunteer work.  Andrea was named Volunteer of the Year in July 2022 for her work on the Hanover Christmas Committee.  She volunteered endless hours for the Santa’s Cabin, Santa’s Sleepers, Main Street Hanover, God’s Meal Barrel, and New Hope Ministries. 

Andrea loved gardening, tending to her blueberries, decorating, baking, birdwatching - especially bluebirds, getting together with friends, and cheering on Penn State Football. 

In addition to her loving husband Bryan, Andrea is survived by her sisters, Karen, Lisa, Jolene, and Kristi; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends that were like family to her. 

A Celebration of Life to share memories and remember Andrea will be held from 1:00PM – 4:00PM, Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Hanover Elks Lodge, 47 North Forney Avenue, Hanover, PA.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christmas in Hanover – make checks payable to Main Street Hanover with note in memo line either Christmas in Hanover or in memory of Andrea Goodson, c/o Main Street Hanover, 40 York Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
