Andrew Kremenik Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Andrew “Krem” Kremenik, 44, of Hanover, PA, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

Born August 11, 1981, in New Castle, PA, he was the son of Rocky Kremenik and Madeline Gebhart, and the stepson of Pat Gebhart. Andrew was the loving husband of Jenn (Matthews) Kremenik, with whom he shared sixteen years of marriage.

Andrew was a 2000 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, a 2004 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and later earned his Master’s in Social Work from Widener University. His education became the foundation for a career defined by service, empathy, and purpose. For more than fifteen years, Andrew worked as a therapist specializing in trauma within residential treatment, offering care to children who had known far too much hardship at far too young an age. He met each child exactly where they were, providing patience when they struggled, strength when they felt lost, and hope when they had none left. His steady presence and deep compassion helped shape the futures of countless young people, leaving an imprint that will carry forward for generations.  He often said you only have to reach one person — just one — and then you move to the next. That is how we change the world. And in his quiet, determined, and deeply human way, he truly did.

Andrew loved football—especially cheering for the Pittsburgh Panthers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He found joy in the kitchen and was a proud “self-proclaimed chef,” constantly experimenting with new recipes and feeding the people he loved. He was a devoted fan of horror movies and embraced Halloween as his favorite family holiday, making it magical and memorable every year. Above all, Andrew adored his family. His wife and children were the center of his world, and everything he did was guided by his love for them.

He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

In addition to his loving wife Jenn, Andrew is survived by his three children: Maverick, Camden, and Layla.
