Anna J. Golden, 92, of Gettysburg, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at SpiriTrust Lutheran Home, Gettysburg, PA.
Born June 23, 1932, in New Oxford, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Mummert) Butler. She was the loving wife of the late Robert J. Golden with whom she shared 57 years of marriage until his passing on April 2, 2019.
Anna was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and the Catholic War Veterans Association both in Bonneauville.
Anna worked as a secretary for many years at various places, her last being at St. Francis Xavier Church, Gettysburg, PA. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and spending time with her family and friends.
Anna is survived by one sister, Leota Butler, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded n death by nine siblings, William “Dick” Butler, Marlin Butler, Loring Butler, Clarence “Bud” Butler, Ralph Butler, A, Richard Butler, Lloyd Butler, Myrna Zinn, and Loretta Sando.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover Street, Bonneauville with Father Benny Jose as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 10-11 AM at the church. A luncheon will be held following the committal service.
