Anna V. Hale

Anna V. Hale, 98, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA, with her loving family by her side.

Born October 18, 1927, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Marion O. and Virginia E. (Parsons) Peltzer.  She was the loving wife of the late Charles E. “Ed” Hale with whom she shared 70 years of marriage until his passing on November 26, 2016.

Anna was a graduate of Franklin High School, Reisterstown, MD.  She became a Realtor when she moved to Carrollton, MD, so she could help choose her good neighbors, and worked as a line leader at Gould, Inc.

Anna loved her family with all her heart, she loved going on trips, watching game shows, playing games on her tablet, going to Charlestown, and scratching lottery tickets. 

Anna is survived by her children, Stephan Hale of Littlestown, PA, Charles Hale of Finksburg, MD, George Hale of Littlestown, PA, and Barb Howard of Glen Rock, PA; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her older baby brother, son Edward Hale, grandson Timmy Howard, and great-grandson Ryan Howard.

A visitation will be held from 10am – 11am, Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  Followed by a memorial service to celebrate and remember Anna at 11am with the Chaplain Jeff Shull officiating.  Burial will be at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, in Finksburg, MD.

There will be a gathering at Butch and Barb’s home to celebrate and remember Anna.  All are welcome.

Memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Meadowlands Center, 3572 Concord Road, York, PA 17402.
