Anna Lois Worley

Anna Lois Worley, 80, of Hanover, PA, passed into the loving arms of Jesus, Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the York Hospital with her loving family by her side. 

Born September 16, 1940, in Coeburn, VA, she was the daughter of the late Haskell C. Mullins and J. Violet (Wallen) Short and the stepdaughter of the late Edward Short, Jr.  Lois was the loving wife of the late Donald E. Worley with whom she shared fifty-seven years of marriage until his passing, June 21, 2019. 

Lois attended Hanover Foursquare Church, Hanover, PA, and Harvest Chapel, Abbottstown, PA.

Lois was a homemaker and worked at the Revonah Spinning Mills for several years before her marriage and starting a family with Donald.  She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed crocheting, crafts, cooking, baking, and gardening.   Anna was very artistic and loved painting, finding beauty in everything around her.  

Lois is survived by her four children, Kimberly A. Jacoby and husband Michael of Hanover, PA, Deborah E. Conrad and husband Andrew of Hanover, PA, Pamela S. Stephens and husband Shane of Ocoee, FL, and Aaron E. Worley and wife Angela of New Market, MD; eleven grandchildren, Caleb Jacoby, Gabrielle Jacoby, Noelle Jacoby, Ashton Tickle, Jordan McCorkle, Kirsten Bastress, Chanel Fisher, Chloe Stephens, Zion Stephens, Isabella Worley, and Dominic Worley; nine great-grandchildren, Archer, Hunter, Tucker, Saylor, Everly, Journey, Landon, Ellyana, and Paisley; and three sisters, Janice Hudler, Patricia Strausbaugh, and Sheila Brown.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Mullins, and Brenda Privett.   

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Lois will be held 11:00AM, Friday, September 17, 2021, at Harvest Chapel, 6947 York Road, Abbottstown, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 9:00-11:00AM, Friday, September 17, 2021, at the church.  Burial will be 2:30 PM, Friday, September 17, 2021 in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.
