Audrey L. Bierley

Audrey L. Bierley, 93, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Friday, April 25, 2025, at The Gardens at Gettysburg.

Born July 5, 1931, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Agnes (Burness) Weber.  Audrey was the loving wife of the late Wayne Bierley, who died December 20, 1989.

Audrey was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, where she was a member of the Grandview Seniors.

Audrey was a 1949 graduate of Catholic High School, Baltimore, MD. She retired in 1990 from McCormick & Co., with 26 years of service in the accounts payable department.   

Audrey was independent all her life living each day with the mission to create lasting memories for everyone.  She loved any opportunity to gather with family and friends and was an active member of many senior community groups around Hanover.

Audrey is survived by her son, Donald Cooke and wife Angela of Hanover, PA; two grandchildren, Alison Cooke and partner Ian Kuhn of Lake Tahoe, CA and Shelby Cooke of Ocean View, DE, and a daughter-in-law Kandi Canavan of Hanover, PA.  She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Cooke, and her sister, Marion Basta.      

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Deacon Thomas Aumen officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00AM, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Audrey’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
