Barbara E. Baublitz

Barbara E. Baublitz, 84, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Gettysburg Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born August 5, 1938, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert H. and Anna L. (Myers) Wagner.  Barbara was the loving wife of the late Simpson M. Baublitz, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage, until his passing on December 14, 2017.

Mrs. Baublitz was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA and the former Friendship Volunteer Fire Company. 

Barbara loved taking care of children and operated her own day care service for many years.

Mrs. Baublitz enjoyed puzzle books, was an avid NASCAR fan and New York Yankees fan.   

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Susan Lockard of Hanover, PA, and Charlotte Aulthouse of Wrightsville, PA; her brother-in-law, Larry L. Baublitz and wife, Diane of Hanover, PA; two sisters-in-law, Linda R. Sager and husband, Larry, and Donna M. Bankert all of Hanover, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Gilbert Wagner; and two sisters, Janet Myers and Eleanor Wagner.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Barbara will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with her Pastor, the Rev. Kirk A. Griffin officiating.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Friday, June 9, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 129 Charles Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
