Barbara A. Hartlaub

Barbara A. Hartlaub, 82, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born December 23, 1941, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late William, Sr. and Daisy I. (Baler) Baugher. Barbara was the loving wife of the late Bernard Hartlaub with whom she shared 42 years of marriage until his passing on April 16, 2003.

Barbara was a graduate of Littlestown High School. She worked at the Chris Crone Sewing Factory and then retired from Black and Decker.

Barbara was a member of St. David’s United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA.

Barbara enjoyed playing BINGO, doing crosswords, shopping, and running around with her friend Susie.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Candace L. Lookenbill and husband Mark of Hanover, PA; and two siblings, Romaine Troutman and Pauline Snyder. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, William H. Baugher, Jr., Kenneth Baugher, Stewart Baugher, Janet Nace, Dale E. Baugher, and Ella and Eleanor Miller.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Barbara’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will be in St. David’s Church Cemetery. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00 -11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the York County S.P.C.A., 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
