Barbara A. Jacobs

Barbara Ann Jacobs, 72, of East Berlin, PA, entered God’s eternal care Saturday, May 21, 2022, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born July 9, 1949, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Elizabeth V. (Becker) Hoover.  Barbara was the loving wife of Dana L. Jacobs with whom she shared 36 years of marriage.

Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, antiquing, socializing, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her loving husband, Dana, Barbara is survived by her children, Timothy G. Markle of Hanover, PA, and Michael L. Markle and wife Teace of Thomasville, PA; two grandchildren, Brady L. Markle and Joseph A. Markle; and one great grandchild on the way; a brother, Dave Becker of New Milton, WV; and a sister, Susan Stremmel of Hanover, PA.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori A. Seitz.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Barbara will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
