Barbara A. Heromin Obituary

Barbara A. Heromin, 79, of Bonneauville, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, September 22, 2025, at Rest Haven Rehab & Nursing, York, PA.

Born October 3, 1945, in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Helen (Muscoskie) Lastoskie.  She was the wife of the late Edward A. Heromin with whom she shared 51 years of marriage until his passing on July 10, 2018.

Barbara was a 1963 graduate of Coal Township High School, Shamokin, PA.  She began her working career as a lab tech at Geisinger Medical Center where she met her husband Ed, and later, was an office manager for the Lake Heritage Property Owners Association for 25 years until her retirement in 2004.

Barbara was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Bonneauville, PA. 

Barbara was an associate member of the CWV in Bonneauville, and a former member of the Gettysburg Moose Club.

Barbara enjoyed playing BINGO, loved hosting family and friends for visits both at her home and Providence Place, visiting and collecting lighthouses, and especially loved watching and cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Mark Heromin of Hanover, PA, and Matthew Heromin and wife Julie of York, PA; two grandchildren, Madison Heromin and Joshua Heromin both of York, PA; a sister, Mary (Lastoskie) Long of Sommerville, NJ; and a brother, William Lastoskie of Dillsburg, PA, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM, Friday, September 26, 2025, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA, with Father Benny Jose as celebrant.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11AM, Friday, September 26, 2025, at the church. Burial will private and at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
