Bruce H. Plunkert, 74, of Littlestown, PA, entered into God’s eternal care Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born October 26, 1950, in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert S. and Doris M. (Legore) Plunkert. Bruce was the loving husband of Donna M. (Dickensheets) Plunkert with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Bruce was a 1968 graduate of Littlestown High School and received his B.S. in management from Penn State University. He worked as a Manager in the PA department of Industry for 15 years, worked at Norm’s Auction for 45 years, and was a partner with his wife in the Old Buttermould Pattern Products for 32 years.
Bruce was a member of Hanover Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing pitch, playing pool, family gatherings, hunting, and playing the organ. One of his greatest accomplishments was being in business for 32 years with Donna and publishing their book “Butter Prints and Preserving History”.
In addition to his wife Donna, Bruce is survived by one son, Gabriel B. Plunkert of Littlestown, PA, 2 grandchildren, Ashley E. Luckabaugh and Victoria C. Hippensteel, 3 great grandchildren, Mason A. Snell, Lillian T. Hippensteel, and Harrison T. Hippensteel, with one on the way, and one sister Jan P. Sweigart of Hanover, PA. He was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Kristy L. Plunkert, one great grandchild, Lincoln T. Hippensteel, and a brother, Drew E. Plunkert.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Bruce’s life will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Mark Bowyer officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the funeral home.
