Byron (Barry) Orndorff, 70, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care with his daughter and granddaughter by his side on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Genesis - Gettysburg Center, Gettysburg, PA.
Born August 25, 1953, in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Vincent and Louise (Myers) Orndorff.
Barry worked for Schindler Elevator until his retirement.
Barry enjoyed racing, motorcycles, music, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by two children, Andrea R. Hucks of New Oxford, PA, and Shawn M. Orndorff of Hanover, PA; two grandchildren, Abigail M. Hucks and Talon Orndorff; and six siblings, Karl Orndorff, Chris Gallagher, Roy Orndorff, Ed Orndorff, Benita Lehto, and Judy Reed. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Ray Orndorff and Anita Orndorff.
A memorial service to celebrate and remember Barry will be held 11:00AM, Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Brian Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A visitation to share memories with family and friends will be held from 10:00-11:00AM, Friday, May 24, 2024, at the funeral home.
