Carlton D. Stambaugh, 80, of Hanover, PA, was ushered into the presence of Jesus on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Penn Medicine - Lancaster General Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born August 18, 1944, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Sterling and Leah (Lucabaugh) Stambaugh. Carlton was the loving husband of Arlene M. (Herr) Stambaugh with whom he shared fifty-three years of marriage.
Carlton earned his Master’s in Divinity and served as a minister at Stony Brook Mennonite Church. He was a member of Stony Brook Mennonite Church and recently attended Calvary Bible Church.
In addition to his loving wife, Arlene, Carlton is survived by three children, Gwenyth L. Eyler and husband Jeffrey of Hanover, PA, Rachel L. Miller and husband Troy of York, PA, and Derek C. Stambaugh and wife Michele of Columbia, PA; thirteen grandchildren; and a sister, Connie H. Sweitzer of Glen Rock, PA. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joel D. Eyler and Lydia M. Eyler; and a brother, Joseph Stambaugh.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 10:30AM, Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA. Burial will be in York Road Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A visitation will be held from 1:00PM-3PM and 5:00PM-7:00PM, Friday, January 10, 2025, at the church.
