Carole Downing Obituary

Carole Sherry Downing, 78, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Michaux Manor, Fayetteville, PA. Born June 10, 1943, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late George G. and Norma C. (Kirby) Walpert.

Carole was a graduate of Catonsville High School, Villa Julie College, and the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She was a paralegal and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Carole is survived by two children, Steven K. Downing and wife Melanie of Mt. Airy, MD, and Karen D. Downing of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Caroline and Drew Downing; a brother, Stanley L. Walpert and wife Carolyn of Westminster, MD. She was predeceased by her sister, C. Hillary Eckrote of Gettysburg, PA.
