Charlene M. Stratton

Charlene M. Stratton, 80, of Littlestown, PA, entered God’s eternal care Saturday, August 1, 2026, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born February 8, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Maxie and Roberta (Herr) Mowery.   

Charlene attended Eastern High School, and was an assistant manager in fast food, as well as a cook. She also worked in manufacturing for several years.   

Charlene loved bowling, shopping, playing bingo, gambling at the casino, eating out, reading and spending time with her family and friends. 

Charlene is survived by her children, Joseph Banner and wife Sue of Baltimore, MD, Jennifer Hansen of Littlestown, PA, and Bobby Stratton of Littlestown, PA; 6 grandchildren, Joe, Rachel, Josh, Jessica, Shaunie, and Brianna; 1 great-granddaughter, Ryleigh “best girl”; and 3 siblings, Kenneth Mowery and wife Charlene, Jeaninne Hamilton and husband Bill, and Maxine Michaelides and husband John, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Mowery.

A service to celebrate and remember Charlene will be held Monday, August 10, 2026, at 1PM at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Nathaniel Hedin-Schmidt officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12PM-1PM, Monday, August 10, 2026, at the funeral home.
