Charlotte V. Colehouse

Charlotte V. Colehouse, 98, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care Monday, December 15, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. 

Born November 23, 1927, in Thurmont, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clarence R. Stair and Mary H. (Sharer) Nortavage.  She was the loving wife of the late Gilbert E. Colehouse, Sr., who passed away September 25, 1999. 

Charlotte was a member of the former Lohr’s United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA.

Charlotte retired from Hanover Wire Cloth in 1991, with 26 years of service.  She was a member of the Hanover Chapter and the National AARP.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Gilbert E. Colehouse, Jr. and Ann L. Baugher both of Hanover, PA; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; one sister, Eva C. Slayman Salley, SC; and one brother, Lloyd R. Stair of Highland Falls, NY.  She was preceded in death by three children, Barry C. Colehouse, Linda J. Fissel and Helen L. Dillon; two sisters, Shirley M. Miller and Patricia A. Koontz and one brother, C. Clyde Stair.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, December 19, 2025,  at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte’s name to the Hospice Program of the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove, 440 Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
