Charlotte M. Staub

Charlotte Marie Staub, 74, of New Oxford, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born October 15, 1948, in West York, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Charlotte (Hovis) Smith.  Charlotte was the loving wife of Gordon D. Staub with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.  

Charlotte enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She was known for doing anything for anybody that needed it to be done.

In addition to her loving husband, Charlotte is survived by her son, Michael D. Staub and wife Cathy, three grandchildren, Jonathan Staub and Fiancé Celsea Weaver, Jordan Staub and Fiancé Megan Wagaman, and Jamie Staub and Fiancée Chad Lawrence, two great grandchildren, Rhett Staub and Paisley Lawrence, siblings, Donna Witmer, Lois Wetzel, and Linda Altice and husband Randy, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Smith and a sister, Nancy Wentz.

Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate and remember Charlotte will be held 5 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 4-5 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Charlotte to the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352.
