Christopher E. McDermott

Christopher E. McDermott, 51 of Gettysburg, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his home.

Born October 8, 1974, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Ernest and JoAnn M. (Burkett) McDermott.  Christopher was the loving husband of Katherine M. (Maurer) McDermott with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.

Christopher was a 1993 graduate of Westminster High School and a graduate of ABC Trade School in Baltimore.  He worked as a control technician for Honeywell.

Christopher enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle, watching classic vampire movies, going to horror movie cons, and having a good drink.  He was devoted and loving husband, father, and loved to spend time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife Katherine, Christopher is survived by his children, Christopher G. McDermott and Ayden M. McDermott, his brother Ernest McDermott, Jr, and his sister Tanya Goldsmith, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  A funeral service will be held at 7 PM, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the funeral home.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
