Cody Alexander Edwards, 25, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, unexpectedly passed on his 25th birthday, Monday, August 10th, 2020 in Columbus, Ohio as the result of an automobile accident.
Born August 10th, 1995 in Olney, Maryland, he was the oldest son of Amy Hart Windstein and Leroy L. Edwards, Jr., and the stepson of David R. Windstein.
In addition to his parents and stepparent, Cody is survived by two extremely close brothers, Dylan S. Edwards and Trevor M. Edwards, both of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; maternal grandmother, Patricia S. Hart; and paternal grandmothers, Lisen S. Edwards and Elizabeth Thompson and her husband, Doug Thompson; as well as a step-sister, Alyssa S. Windstein and step-grandmother Linda C. Windstein; and companion to Leroy L. Edwards, Jr., Stacey Cantwell.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William S. Hart; and paternal grandfather, Leroy L. Edwards, Sr.
Cody was a 2013 graduate of South Western High School, Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Cody worked as the Former Chief Information Officer at Tomlin Technology, Inc., in Westminster, Maryland. He was a computer expert, loved video games, dirt bike riding, cars, food and was a music & movie enthusiast which were quite inspirational to him.
On Saturday, August 22, 2020 at St. David’s United Church of Christ Fellowship Grove building, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, Pennsylvania Cody’s family will welcome friends and family from 11 am-12 pm followed by a brief memorial service officiated by Rev. Scott A. Sager. A Celebration of Cody’s life will be held after the service. Cody’s remains will be retained by his mother and father and no burial is planned. All are asked to wear masks, dress comfortably, and to bring their own chairs.
