Colleen Fisher

Colleen Costello Fisher, 61, of Spring Grove, PA, entered God's eternal care, Monday, October 23, 2023. at her home.

Born May 31, 1962, in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of Brenda D. (Abel) Costello and the late Thomas P. Costello.  In addition to her mother Brenda, Colleen is survived by Dr. Thomas P. Costello, Lori C. West and husband Jeff R. West, Elise C. Farrell, Brian S. Costello and wife Rebecca B. Costello, a niece Kathleen M. Farrell and two nephews Grant T. Farrell and Maxwell O. West.  

Colleen was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Spring Grove, PA. 

Colleen was a 1980 graduate of Hanover High School and received a B.S. in Nursing from York College in 1985.  Colleen was an RN, currently working as a nurse manager for Dialysis Care Center.  Previously, she worked at WellSpan York Hospital in the OR and on the Heart Team.  She was a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses, was a Nurse of Hope with the American Cancer Society of York County, a member of the Surgical and Medical Missions in Ecuador and volunteered with the Red Cross Blood Mobile.

Colleen loved animals, gardening, and cooking.  She truly enjoyed helping patients, and loved her family, friends, and neighbors. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 West Canal Road, Abbottstown, PA, with Father Philip Burger as celebrant.  Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.  The funeral will be live streamed at https://www.ihmparadise.org/   A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held immediately after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Colleen’s memory may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
