Dana L. Ziegenhein, 78, of Hanover, PA entered God’s eternal care, Friday, April 19, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born February 12, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William L. and Thelma E. (Gessner) Ziegenhein. Dana was the loving husband of Beverly J. (Tinsman) Ziegenhein with whom he shared 56 years of marriage and together were known affectionately as “Ziggy and Zag”.
Dana was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served his country proudly from 1967 to 1971.
Dana was a track repairman for the Maryland Transit Authority for thirty-one years until his retirement. He was a member of the Arbutus Fire Department – Coffee Wagon 155.
Dana loved fire shows and collecting fire toys. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, David.
In addition to his loving wife, Beverly, Dana is survived by his daughter, Yvette Budzik of Edgewood, MD; his grandson David Budzik; and two siblings, Diana Arnold of Florida, and Jack Ziegenhein of Severna Park, MD.
Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Dana’s memory to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 900 S. Arlington Avenue, Suite 134A, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
