David W. Leppo, 79, of Glenville, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Friday, December 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 24, 1944, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Melvin E. and Josephine E. (Garrettson) Leppo. David was the loving husband of Cheryl A. (Rupp) Leppo with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
David was a member of The Hanover Eagles and the Jefferson Rod and Gun Club.
David graduated from South Western High School in 1962. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and the Pennsylvania National Guard.
David retired from caterpillar after 30 years of service as a Data processing manager in 1995.
He enjoyed trap shooting, woodworking, fishing, and was an avid fan of Penn State Football as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his wife, David is survived by his children, David W. Leppo, Jr. and wife Tanya of Camp Hill, PA, Beth A. Rabine and husband Adam of Hanover, PA, three grandchildren, Jacob Rabine, Lane Rabine, and Leah Rabine, one sister, Karen Whelan and her husband Keith Perry, and one brother Jon M. Leppo, nieces Katherine Whelan and Grace Leppo, and nephews, John T. Whelan, Jr. and Derrick Leppo.
A service to remember and celebrate David’s life will be held, 11 AM, Friday, December 29, 2023, at Black Rock Church of the Brethren, 3864 Glenville Road, Glenville, PA, with his Pastor Rev. Brandon Grady officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and times to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11 AM, Friday, December 29, 2023, at the church.
