David Bruce Parker, 69, of Abbottstown, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg, PA.
Born February 6, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Betty (Shipley) Parker. David was the loving husband of Jeanette (Anshel) Parker, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.
David was a Truck Driver for Kinard Trucking for 15 years. He was also very passionately involved in volunteer firefighting. Over 25 years, David was a firefighter at Friendship, Reisterstown, and Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Companies.
David enjoyed attending firefighting training programs at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD. He also enjoyed bowling in the Hanover Bowling Leagues.
In addition to his wife, Jenny, David is survived by his daughter Mallory Lynn Grammar & her husband Jacob. He leaves behind one grandson, Jackson Parker Grammar. David was preceded in death by his sister Carol Shipley.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember David’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331, with Reverend Scott Sager officiating. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12-2 PM, Monday, January 3, 2021, at the funeral home.
