David Shue Obituary

David W. Shue, 74, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Hanover Hall.

Born November 29, 1946, in Hanover, David was the son of the late Ira S. and Mary E. (Routson) Shue. He was the loving husband of Susan E. (Zartman) Shue with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

David was a 1965 graduate of Hanover High School. After high school, he worked at Kessler & Shue Bicycle Center, where he helped his father. For many years, he also was a caretaker for the Hanover baseball fields. He would provide maintenance, groundskeeping, and preparations before and after games. Later, David was a loyal employee at Hanover Brands, where he worked for 45 years before retiring.

David was a life member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Hanover. There he served as Cub Master for Cub Scout Pack 102.

David enjoyed spending time with his loving family. One of his hobbies was to play sports games on his PlayStation 4 console. This became an aid to him during his time at Hanover Hall.

In addition to his loving wife Susan, David is survived by his children, Christopher D. Shue & wife Candy of New Oxford, PA, Thomas W. Shue of Gaffney, SC, and Timothy “Melissa” A. Shue of Hanover, PA. He is also survived by one brother Michael Shue.
