David J. Sterner

David J. Sterner, 67, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Friday, February 21, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.

Born September 1, 1957, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Blanton O. and Betty L. (Lansinger) Sterner.

David was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. 

David was a 1976 graduate of Hanover High School.  He worked at the H.A.R.T. Center in Hanover, PA, and was a member of the Life Skills organization. 

David is survived by his brother, Dale B. Sterner of Hanover, PA, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David enjoyed collecting Hess trucks and pewter antique cars.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember David’s life will be held 11AM, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael P. Reid, II officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10AM-11AM, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s name may be made to the Homewood at Plum Creek Benevolent Fund, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
