Dolores May Hansen, 85, of Glenville, PA, entered God’s eternal care Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at UPMC – Memorial Hospital, York, PA.
Born June 11, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Grace (Emory) Quinn Thelen. Dolores was the loving wife of Howard F. Hansen, Sr. with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.
Dolores was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, and the Manheim Homemaker’s Group of Glenville.
Dolores was a graduate of Catholic High School, Baltimore, MD. She worked at the former Lana Lobelle and retired from Black & Decker.
Family was most important to Dolores, she loved spending time with her family, especially family outings together.
In addition to her loving husband, Howard, Dolores is survived by two children, Debra (Hansen) Reese Carpenter of Antioch, CA and Howard F. Hansen, Jr. and wife Shawne of Littlestown, PA; grandchildren, Seth Reese, DeLorean Reese and husband Noam Scott, Howard F. Hansen III and wife Priscilla, Kristopher Hansen, Bethany Hansen, Joseph Hansen and wife Jesse; step-grandchildren, Crystal Fraley and Ronald Fraley; great-grandchildren, Abigail Hansen, Lucas Hansen, Isabella Hansen, and Bowie Scott; step-great-grandchildren, Elliana Fraley and Dalton Fraley. She was preceded in death by four brothers, James Quinn, Donald Quinn, John Quinn, and William Quinn.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate and remember Dolores will be held 10:30AM, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5125 Grandview Road, Hanover, PA with Monsignor James M. Lyons as celebrant. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with recital of the Rosary at 8 PM.
