Dolores H. Snyder

Dolores H. Snyder, 80, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Saturday, April 23, 2022, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with her loving family by her side. 

Born June 16, 1941, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter S. Beck and Minnie (Albright) Beck-Shearer.  Dolores was the loving wife of the late Robert L. “Chickbird” Snyder with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.     

Dolores was a 1959 graduate of Spring Grove High School.  She worked for Utz Quality Foods, Hanover, PA, as a supervisor for forty years until her retirement.   

Dolores was a member of New Hope Faith Community Church, Hanover, PA, and A.A.R.P.

Dolores enjoyed reading, volunteering at the Eichelberger, and especially spending time with her family.

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Lisa Sneeringer, and Sherrie LaMotte and husband Scott, all of Hanover, PA; three grandchildren, Derrick Sneeringer, Nicole LaMotte, and Matthew LaMotte; and siblings, Darlene Masemer, Jean Riddle, Laverne Shearer, Samuel Shearer, and Ray Shearer.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Shearer; two brothers-in-law, Richard Masemer and Malcolm Riddle.   

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Dolores will be held 11:30 AM, Thursday, April 28, 2022, at New Hope Faith Community Church, 33 Sunday Drive, Hanover, PA 17331, with Reverend Jim Herbert officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family, will be held from 10:00-11:30 AM, Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the church.   

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dolores to New Hope Faith Community Church, Hanover, PA, 33 Sunday Dr, Hanover, PA 17331.
