Donald R. Brady, Sr.

Donald R. Brady, Sr., 93, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.

Born August 27, 1930, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond E. Brady and Helen B. (Lentz) Brady Rebert. Donald was the loving husband of Camille C. (Bowman) Brady with whom he shared 72 years of marriage.

Donald was a 1948 graduate of  Delone Catholic High School.  He worked at Brady McCadden  Lumber Yard for 10 years and then worked for the Schmuck’s Lumber Company for 21 years and spent the last 30 years as the office manager of Randy A. Brady Masonry until his retirement.

Donald was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, a life member of the Parkville Fire Company and McSherrystown Fire Company (now SAVES), a member of the McSherrystown Moose, and the Local AARP #669.

Donald enjoyed Country Dancing, playing cards (Pitch & 500), going on bus trips with his wife, going to exercise class, and watching women’s College Basketball and softball.

In addition to his loving wife, Camille, Donald is survived by his children, Donald R. Brady, Jr. and wife Sharon, Randy A. Brady and wife Jackie, and Jeweley C. Worley and husband Don all of Hanover, PA, 7 grandchildren, Aaron Brady, Shannon Davis, Kate Sanchez, Toshia Brodbeck, Matthew Worley, Mandy Baker, and Beverly Brady, 13 great grandchildren, and one brother, Bernard C. “Barney” Brady of McSherrystown, PA.  He was preceded in death by one grandson, Mason Brady, and one brother, William H. Brady.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM, Tuesday,  May 21, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church    Grandview Road, Hanover, PA, with Msgr. James Lyons as celebrant.  The burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  Visitations and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, as well as from 10 11 AM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the church.
