Donald G. Baker, 94, a resident of Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA, and formerly of Jenkintown, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Monday, March 2, 2026, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.
Born August 26, 1931, in York, PA, he was the son of the late Edgar A. and Ethel M. (Grove) Baker. He was the loving husband of Grace (Elgin) (Eicholtz) Baker.
Donald was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army between WWII and the Korean War.
Donald was a 1948 graduate of East Berlin High School, and received a B.S. in business administration from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. He served as a Vice President at Smith Kline French Drug Company, and prior to that as a VP for an insurance company for overseas cargo shipping in downtown Philadelphia.
Donald enjoyed traveling all over the world for pleasure and employment, he flew his own airplane in the US and the Caribbean.
Donald was preceded in death by his 1st wife Margaret (Sandrow) Baker; five siblings, Grace (Baker) Bosserman, Mary (Baker) Eisenhart, Nevin Baker, Walter Baker, and Ruth (Baker) (Reisinger) Livers; and two nieces, Marsha Miller and Deb Newbould.
In addition to his loving wife Grace, he is survived by his stepdaughter, Lee Ann (Steve) Gruver; granddaughters, Kayla Gruver and Lana Gruver; and 10 nieces and nephews, Ed Eisenhart, Jeanette (Bob) Heilman, Dick (Roxie) Reisinger, John (Dee) Bosserman, Ken Baker, Karen Wagner, Joan Smith, Jeff (Deb) Bosserman, Barb Harcourt, and Sue Smith.
Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
