Donnaleen E. Mummert, 97, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the SpiriTrust Lutheran Home at Utz Terrace.
Born February 22, 1928, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilmert L. and Blanche (Hendricks) Nace. Donnaleen was the loving wife of the late Harold E. Mummert with whom she shared 61 years of marriage until his death on December 30, 2006.
Mrs. Mummert was a member of St. Paul's Dubs United Church of Christ, Hanover, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, Lodge 763, Hanover, the Hanover Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and the Automobile Club of America.
Donnaleen retired from the Hanover Hospital after 26 years of service as a receptionist.
Mrs. Mummert enjoyed boating, going on cruises, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Donnaleen is survived by her daughter, Sonya D. Portaro and her husband, Frank D. of Hanover; grandchildren, Bryan H. Womer and wife Lori A., Tatum L. Womer, and Brandy L. Wilt and husband Adam; great-grandchildren, Alisha M. Fissel and husband Nick, Carley R. Reichart and husband Luke, Richard E. Womer and wife Amanda, Shania N. Thomas and husband Justin, Alfonso and Rosa Orihula; Gage Gower, great-great-grandchildren, Brody J. Fissel, Porter W. Fissel, Walker W. Fissel, Gavin J. Reichart, Weston H. Reichart, Harper L. Womer, Haisley R. Womer, Valerie H. Orihula, Violet H. Orihula, and Liana H. Orihula. She was preceded in death by one sister, Odessa Sterner.
A service to celebrate and remember Donnaleen’ s life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the funeral home.
