Dorcas M. Danner

Dorcas M. Danner, 86, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Maugansville Mennonite Home, with family by her side.

Born November 5, 1937, in Brutus, MI, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Newswanger) Reed.  Dorcas was the loving wife of the late James R. Danner with whom she shared 54 years of marriage until his passing on February 7, 2013. 

Dorcas was a member of Hanover Mennonite Church.

Dorcas is survived by four children, Gloria L. Danner of New Oxford, PA, Glenda L. Martin and husband Timothy of Spring Grove, Michaele D. Danner and wife Dorinda of Tunas, MO, and Merlin D. Danner and wife Rachel of New Oxford, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one sister, Irene Zimmerman and husband Jay of Denver, three sisters-in-law, Barbara Reed of Lititz, Carolyn Reed of Harrisonburg, VA, and Ethel (Reed) Brennaman and husband Elmer of Elizabethtown.  She was preceded in death by her husband James, three brothers, Harold Reed, John Reed, and Paul Reed, and two sisters, Anna Mary Reed, and Ruth Reed.

A funeral service will be 10:00AM, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Hanover Mennonite Church, 563 Broadway, Hanover, PA.  Burial will be in York Road Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  Viewings will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, at the Hanover Mennonite Church, 563 Broadway, Hanover.
