Doris J. Rother

Doris J. Rother, 98, of Hanover, PA, entered into God's eternal care, Sunday, May 5, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born April 15, 1926, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Wildasin) Sheaffer.  Doris was the loving wife of the late Harry F. Rother with whom she shared 69 years of marriage until his passing on January 27, 2015.

Doris retired from Hanover Brands after 21 years of service as a lab technician.

Doris loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren

Doris is survived by her daughter Ginger Wolf, three granddaughters, Stacey May and husband David, Heather Bankert Weaver and companion Ralph, Wendy Wolf, her great-grandsons, Colby Weaver, Caleb Wolf Horst, her brother, Dennis Sheaffer, her sister, Iva Kessler and her son-in-law, Thomas Bankert.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Lou Bankert who died July 13, 2000, her brother, Alvin Sheaffer, and sisters, Lorrine Rohrbaugh and Janice Sheaffer.

A graveside service to celebrate and remember Doris's life will be held 11 AM, Friday, May 10, 2024, at St. Paul's (Dubs) Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA with the Rev. Doug Shenton officiating.

Contributions in memory of Doris may be made to the Hospice Program of the VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove, 440 N. Madison Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
