Doris B. Reichart

Doris B. (Mummert) Reichart, 79, of Hanover, PA, died Thursday, October 24, 2024 at WellSpan York Hospital, York, PA.

Born January 5, 1945, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ira M. and Esther M. (Gotwalt) Mummert.  Doris was the loving wife of the late Burnell W. Reichart, with whom she shared over 49 years of marriage.

Doris was a 1962 graduate of South Western High School, Hanover, PA.  She was also a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.

Doris enjoyed genealogy, bowling, mini-golfing, touring historical sites, and especially spending time with her family.

Doris is survived by her daughter Barbara R. Trout and son-in-law Chad C. Trout of State College, PA, and her two grandsons, Seth W. Trout and Jonah E. Trout both of State College, PA.  She was preceded in death by her three siblings, Burnell H. Mummert, Walter A. Mummert, and Anna M. Heim.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Doris will be held 11AM, Friday, November 1, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Katrina Holland officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, and from 10-11AM, Friday, November 1, 2024, at the church.
