Edith Mae Dubs Menchey

Edith Mae Dubs Menchey, was born May 31, 1931, to Delphus C. Dubs and Rubie Kump Dubs Little.  She was the loving wife of the late Earl R. Menchey, with whom she shared 75 years of marriage until his passing on August 28. 2023.

Edith is survived by her children, Delphine Menchey Rebert of Hanover, PA, Carol Menchey Kessel and husband Neil Kessel, Jr. of Hanover, PA, and Lee R. Menchey of  Manchester, NH; four grandchildren, Treber Rebert and wife Julia, Julie Smith and husband Dwayne, Janette Kessel, and Troy Rebert; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Zachary Rebert, Curtis Kirby, Isabel Rebert, and Colton Rebert; two great-great-grandchildren, Layla and Gavin Smith.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Rubie R. Gebhart; and son-in-law, Carroll Rebert.

Edith attended Eichelberger High School. She was a life-member of Trinity UCC, where she taught Sunday School for many years, was a member of WOT - working many years in the kitchen, and helped with the toy shop program for 40+ years.

Edith was a member of the National A.A.R.P., and the local A.A.R.P. #2812.

There will be no services as per Edith’s request.
