Elaine F. Dubs

Elaine F. Dubs, 81, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Monday, March 10, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born July 5, 1943, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late George “Woodie” and Mary “Eve” (Neiderer) Miller.

Elaine was a lifelong member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Hanover, PA. She served as a former president of St. Vincent’s School PTO and was a school board member at Delone Catholic High School for many years.

Elaine was a 1961 graduate of Delone Catholic High School.  She attended beauty school and was co-owner and a beautician at Dar - Laine's Beauty Shop for forty years.  She also worked at Hanover Specialty Supply and Utz Quality Foods.

Elaine was a member of the Hanover Home Association and the McSherrystown Moose.

Elaine enjoyed many years as a dance instructor, loved going to the beach, camping, sitting by the campfire, and spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s endeavors.

Elaine is survived by five children, Kimberley A. Kenworthy and husband Brad, and David A. Dubs, all of Hanover, PA, Daniel A. Dubs and wife Lisa of New Oxford, PA, and Douglas A. Dubs and wife Amber, and Dru A. Dubs and wife Jeanne all of Hanover, PA; ten grandchildren, Zach Kenworthy and wife Maranda, Lexie Poe and husband Jeremy, Taylor Smith and husband Kyle, Hayley Penn and husband Josh, Lauren Dubs, Ryan Dubs, Nathan Dubs, Owen Dubs, Aria Dubs, and Dreyden Dubs; five great-grandchildren, Dawson, Isla, Killian, Bryson, and Bennett; five siblings, Glorietta Provenzano, Ina Ehrenberg, Patrick Miller, Benn Miller, and Tina Miller; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a brother, George Miller.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM, Monday, March 17, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 220 Third Street, Hanover, PA, with Father Michael P. Reid, II as celebrant.  The burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00PM, Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Prayers at 8:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Elaine’s memory to Delone Catholic High School, 140 S. Oxford Avenue, McSherrystown, PA 17344, or to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 220 Third Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
