Eric D. Strong

Eric D. Strong, 56, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at his home unexpectedly. 

Born March 19, 1969, in Washington, DC, Eric was the son of the late Charles R. and Joyce Ann (Davis) Strong. He was the loving husband of Andrea K. (Fisher) Strong, with whom he shared thirteen years together.                                 

Eric was a 1987 graduate of Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro, MD, and earned his Associate’s Degree in Auto Mechanics from Catonsville Community College in 1991. He dedicated more than 31 years of his career to working as a mechanic, including positions with Saturn, PHH, and Firestone.

Eric enjoyed the outdoors, tinkering around the garage, and was known for his strong work ethic and love of staying busy.

In addition to his loving wife, Andrea, Eric is survived by three children, Douglas G. Strong, Colleen R. Strong, and Rachel M. Strong, all from Manchester, MD; two step children, Brooke E. Tidwell and James J. Cotterell; two grandchildren, Ocean J. Tidwell and Stevie N. Tidwell; and a brother, Matthew G. Strong of Walnut Creek, CA.  

A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Orchard Road, Spring Grove, PA.
