Evelyn Krumrine Dickensheets, 99, entered into God’s eternal care on July 31, 2026, at Concordia at SpiriTrust. She was the daughter of the late Paul H. Krumrine and Gertie Mae Harner. She was the loving wife of Walter B. Dickensheets for 70 years.
Evelyn was born and raised on the farm where her dad had a canning factory, and she worked seasonally for years. She also worked at the Coulson Heel and Inner Sole, the Revonah Spinning Mill. She was a homemaker and liked to do gardening and cook and bake for family. She enjoyed the times when family could all come home and share fun times together.
Evelyn was also a member of the Church of the Brethren. She served as Deacon for 16 years. She also worked and volunteered at the Hanover Council of Churches with the PAL program for many years.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Walter B. Dickensheets, and son Wayne B. Dickensheets, and by brothers, Melvin, John, Claude, Paul, & Nevin and Charles Krumrine; also, by sisters, Mabel Fuhrman, Ruthetta Sponseller, Arlene Worley, and Sara Bollinger. She is survived by children, Allen and wife Sue of York, Elaine and husband Bruce Warner of Lancaster, Dale and wife Lisa of Hanover, and Craig and wife Nicole of Virginia. She also has 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held 11AM, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Hanover Church of the Brethren, 601Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA, with Pastor Mark Bowyer officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, and from 10-11AM, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the church. Interment will be in St. Bartholomew Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s name to Hanover Church of the Brethren, 601 Wilson Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331.
