Fred W. Towle, Jr.

Fred Wilbur Towle, Jr., 79, of Hanover, PA entered God’s eternal care on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.

Born May 9, 1943, in Manchester, NH, Fred was son to the late Fred Wilbur, Jr. and Mary D. (Danto) Towle.  Fred was the loving husband to Tammy Maria (Rossi) Towle with whom he shared over 30 years.

Fred grew up and attended school in Patchogue, NY. He worked as a diesel mechanic.

Fred enjoyed fishing, traveling, and playing Pokémon Go with his children, putting together jigsaw puzzles and completing word searches. Fred was also passionate about helping others. While living in Hanover, Fred could be found between the New Hope Ministries, Guthrie Memorial Library and Hanover Square, helping and spending time with his homeless friends.

In addition to his wife, Tammy, Fred is survived by his children, Fred W. Towle and wife Janine of Long Island, NY, Danny Towle and wife Diane of Long Island, NY, Darren Towle of FL, Joseph C. Towle of Hanover, PA, Kyle E. Towle of Hanover, PA, Kody F. Towle of Hanover, PA, Faith M. Towle of Hanover, PA, and Amberrose J. Towle, also of Hanover, PA. Fred leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Matthew, Danny, Shannon, Jeffrey, Sammy, Michael and Gabriel, and a sister, Elaine Wirt.  Fred was preceded in death by his first-born daughter, Cindy Lee Towle and his other sister, Beverly Davis.

Following cremation, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
