Helen T. (Smith) Little Obituary

Helen T. (Smith) Little, 96, of Bonneauville, PA, entered God's eternal care Friday, January 23, 2026 with her caring family by her side.  She was the loving wife of the late Norman D. Little, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage until his passing in 1993. 

Helen was born in Mt. Pleasant Township in Adams County on August 6, 1929,  and was the daughter of the late George V. and Violet (Topper) Smith. 

She worked as a dental office receptionist for Dr. Miller & Dr. Coleman in Gettysburg for more than 25 years.  Prior to that time, she worked at the Jack & Jill Shoppe in Gettysburg. 

Helen was a devoted member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Bonneauville, where she also enjoyed volunteering at the Pot Pie dinners for many years.  She was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Women’s Auxiliary and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

Helen is survived by her daughters, Judith A. Kassakatis and husband William of Littlestown, PA, and Deborah L. Millhimes and husband Wayne of Hershey, PA; 4 grandsons, Christopher Lear of Allen Park, MI, Travis Millhimes of Hummelstown, PA, Dennis Lear of Littlestown, PA, and Brian Millhimes of Palmyra, PA; step-grandson Mark Kassakatis of Glenville, PA; and 6 great-grandchildren: Chase, Trevor, Courtney, Ty, Brandon, and Blake.

She is also survived by her sisters Alice “Babe” Weaver, Joan “Skip” Gebhart, and Doris “Dot” Busbey; her brother Harold Paul Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Annie Smith, Mildred Neiderer, and Gladys Felix; and her brothers John Smith, Charles “Mike” Smith, and Claude Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA, with Father Benny Jose as celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Joseph the Worker Church Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 5-7PM, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 66 East Hanover Street, Gettysburg (Bonneauville), PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Church, or a charity of your choosing.
