Irene V. “Gram” Braido, 102, of Hanover, PA and formerly of Easton, PA, entered God’s eternal care Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at home with her loving family by her side.
Born April 20, 1921, in Wind Gap, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Carrie M. (Miller) Wagner. Irene was the loving wife of the late Joseph Braido, Sr., with whom she shared 50 years of marriage until his passing on July 21, 1993.
Irene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, PA, and former member of St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church, Easton, PA.
Irene was a 1939 graduate of Pen Argyl High School, Pen Argyl, PA. She was a sales clerk for many years at Horns Dress Shop in Easton, PA. She volunteered for many years with the VNA Hospice of Hanover and Spring Grove, and Pink Out Inc., supporting women with cancer in the Hanover area.
Irene is survived by her children, JoAnn Corriere and husband Jack of Hanover, PA, Joseph Braido, Jr. of Easton, PA, and Louise Gabrielli of Old Hickory, TN; eight grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings, Ralph Wagner, Helen Lobb, Ruth Miller, and Wilbur Wagner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Avenue, Easton, PA, with Father Guency Isaac as celebrant. Visitations and times to share memories with the family will be from 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, and from 10:00-11:00AM, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the church in Easton, PA. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Easton, PA.
