J. Mark Toombs

J. Mark Toombs, 74, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at home with his loving family by his side.

Born July 21, 1950, in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Ralph B. and Mary L. (Coleman) Toombs.  Mark was the loving husband of Carol E. Toombs with whom he shared twenty-nine years of marriage.

Mark was a 1968 graduate of Mission Viejo High School, Mission Viejo, CA.  He retired in 2023, having worked in a variety of professions. He worked in insulation, and drafting, was a cook and dishwasher, and also as a tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt. 

Mark was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1969-1975 during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the American Legion, and the Hanover Home Association.

Mark enjoyed woodworking, and loved his dachshunds.

In addition to his loving wife, Carol, Mark is survived by his children, Josh Toombs and Wife Melissa, Jake Toombs, Laura Fiorelli and husband Chris Fiorelli, John Edmondson, Will Hobbs, Chrissy Mulhollen and husband Phil Mulhollen, and Kelly Stallings; nineteen grandchildren; and two siblings, David Toombs and Johanna Toombs.

Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
