Jack L. Leib, 87, of Hanover, PA, entered God's eternal care Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the Brethren Home, New Oxford, PA, with his loving family by his side.

Born June 24, 1938, in Abbottstown, PA, he was the son of the late Archie and Ioma (Miller) Leib. He was the loving husband of Ruth Ann (Nace) Leib, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Jack was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA, and served on the church  consistory and helped with their Toys for Tots and Bikes for Kids programs.  Jack was a member of the Flaming Knights of Abbottstown and Ducks Unlimited, volunteered for the Dwight Eisenhower National Park, was a former Berwick Township Supervisor, and a life-long blood donor.

Jack was a 1956 graduate of East Berlin High School.  He worked at Leibs service station from 1956 to 1966 before managing Crabb’s Tropical Treat for a year in 1966 with Ruth Ann. He also worked at Bethlehem Mines for 2 years before working as a line man and crew leader for Met-Ed for 32 years until his retirement in 2002.

Jack was a gentle soul, and enjoyed birdwatching, taking many trips to Hawk Mountain, gardening, and was a ‘Mr. Fixit’.  He loved cheering on his grandkids and great grandkids at their sporting events, traveling with his family to Cape May, NJ for almost 50 years, and especially loved the mountains.

Leib and wife Jennifer; 5 grandchildren, Nicole Petcu and husband Damian, Seth Myers and wife Kirsten, Brady Frey, Adam Leib, and Eric Leib; and 6 great-grandchildren, Macie, Mia, Ella, Benny, Ava, and Alaila.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyke Frey; and all of his siblings, June Elicker, Joyce Gulden, Patsy Knepper, Archie Leib, Jr., Robert Leib, and Jim Leib.
