James A. Brown, 74, of Littlestown, PA, entered God’s eternal care Monday, March 23, 2026, at Tree of Life Personal & Memory Care, Hanover, PA, with his loving family by his side.
Born April 6, 1951, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Robert I. and Treva V. (Kridler) Brown. James was the loving husband of Minerva J. (Strickhouser) Brown with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage.
James was a 1969 graduate of South Western High School, Hanover, PA. He retired from New Way Packaging in 2023, with 54 years of service.
James loved going to Disney World, seeing the alligators, fishing with Brandon, was a fan of Star Trek and Dr. Who, and loved spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his loving wife, Minerva, James is survived by his children, Christopher Brown of Altoona, PA, and Tracy Brown (Sue) of Hanover, PA; a stepson, Greg Strickhouser; 5 grandchildren, Tyler, Trent (Kenli), Bryce, Chloe, and Brandon; 3 great-grandchildren, Brinley, Beckett, and Blakeli; a brother, Robert Brown (Kitty) of Cooperstown, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a 3 sisters, Judy Spangler, Jennie Lookenbill, and Tammy Devene.
Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
