James “Jim” Albert Mummert, 76, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Hospital.
Born June 22, 1944 in Hanover, PA he was the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Reichart) Mummert. Jim was the loving husband of Patsy Ann (Jones) Mummert, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Jim was a 1962 graduate of Eichelberger High School. Later, he went to work for his father as a self-employed contractor and eventually took over the business, J.A. Mummert Contracting which he operated for over 30 years.
Jim was a member of Hanover Community Church, and also attended the Evangelical Brethren Church of Hanover.
Jim was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a member of Camp Little Wolf, hunting camp. He also enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his loving family.
In addition to his wife Pat, Jim is survived by his children, Pamela D. Gross & husband Jeff of Hanover, and Michael J. Mummert of York, PA. He leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Renee, Zachary, Kaitlyn, and Alyssa. Jim is also survived by 2 brothers, Richard “Dick” W. Mummert and Ronald E. Mummert.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
