JoAnn M. Mummert

JoAnn M. Mummert, 81, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, PA.

Born January 6, 1945, in Spring Grove, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy L. and Pauline M. (Berwager) Mummert. 

JoAnn was a member of St. Paul’s Dubs Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA, where she was a former member of the church choir, and held various positions within the Sunday School program.

JoAnn was a 1962 graduate of Spring Grove High School, Spring Grove, PA.  She was a secretary at Doubleday, Inc. for 44 years until her retirement in 2007.

JoAnn was an avid reader, and enjoyed puzzles, and spending time with friends and family.

JoAnn is survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara J. Mummert; and nieces and nephews, Ken Bair and wife Carol, Keith Bair and wife Melissa, Kathy Ginn, Mark Mummert and wife Kirsten, and Angela Wolf and husband Jason.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Mummert, Larry B. Mummert, and Delores M. Bair.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Dubs Lutheran Church, 1958 Dubs Church Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
