John H. Stambaugh

John H. Stambaugh, 76, of Spring Grove, PA, entered God's eternal care, Friday, August 5, 2022, at home with his loving family by his side.  

Born September 5, 1945, in York, PA, he was the son of the late Amos E. and Cecelia H. (Martin) Stambaugh.  John was the loving husband of Patricia I. (Geisler) Stambaugh with whom he shared sixty years of marriage.

John worked for P.H. Glatfelter, Spring Grove, PA, and was a member of their Quarter Century Club.  

John was a member of the N.H.R.A., enjoyed drag racing for many years at South Mountain Dragway, John Deere tractors, and cars.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.  

In addition to his loving wife, Pat, John is survived by two daughters, Brenda Gross and husband Timothy, and Tammy Brunner all of Spring Grove, PA; five grandchildren, Kasey Borror and husband Josh, Courtney Brunner and fiancé Mason King, Levi Gross, Kelby Brunner, and Timmer Gross; and six great-grandchildren, Tanner, Teagan and Tenlee Borror, Camie and Grayson Brunner, and Gemma King.  He was preceded in death by two siblings, Ethel Doss and Lamoine Stambaugh.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember John’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the funeral home.
