John E. Cromer, 82, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Monday, October 21, 2024, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.
Born September 7, 1942, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Lester and Mabel (Brilhart) Cromer. John was the loving husband of Elaine B. (Tracey) Cromer with whom he shared fifty years of marriage.
John was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and was a 50 year member of the Hanover BPOE Elks.
John was a 1960 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA, and was employed by Stanley Black & Decker for 31 years as a Production Control Manager, working in Hampstead, MD and in Fayetteville, NC.
In addition to his loving wife Elaine, John is survived by two siblings, the Rev. Douglas E. Cromer (Janice) of York, PA, and Taber N. Cromer (Janet) of Forest Hill, MD; sister-in-law Janice C. Judy of Manchester, MD, brother-in-law Herbert L. Tracey (Beverly) of Manchester, MD. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Cynthia Gorman (Flavio), John David Cromer (Joan), Dr. Julia Cromer-Stanford (John), Nicole Cromer, Ryan Cromer, Johanna Judy, Amanda Sebunia (Joseph), Kathryn Metzler (Dominik), great niece and nephews Kaitlin & Andrew Cromer, John & Michael Stanford.
A Memorial Service to celebrate and remember John will be held 12:00PM, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Katrina Holland officiating. The family will receive friends from 11AM until the time of service, in the church parlor. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Rest Haven Cemetery.
