As a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Hanover, John served on the Parish Council as Chairman for multiple years, as a Eucharistic Minister, and was a teacher in the School of Religious Instruction (SRI) for 20 years, under the Director of SRI and dear friend, Stacey White. John’s Catholic Faith and devotion to our Blessed Lord defined who he was as a follower of Christ.

Since 2006, John proudly served as a staff member of the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, under the direction of Eric Kenworthy, owner and longtime friend.
John was a kind and generous man ~ always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed playing golf, especially with his son, Matt, his brothers, and nephews at the family golf outing; “The Lecorchick Open.” He loved watching baseball ~ especially The “Bucks” (Pittsburgh Pirates) ~ and College football and participating in the family Pirogi Bowl. He also loved “tinkering” in the yard. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his crown jewels.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made in John’s name to the charity of your choice.
